Description:  The QA Analyst is responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of a quality web application.

Essential Duties:

·  Reviews functional requirements, use cases, and/or design specifications to create solid QA test plans and test cases
·  Track and report QA metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status (using Jira)
·  Thoroughly document details of issues; reviewing and communicating issues with core project team members
·  Develop reusable test data and test case automation
·  Analyze results and improve future testing iterations
·  Write/use SQL queries to validate application data
·  Coordinate manual and automated test execution. Use testing tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process
·  Coordinate closely with members of the team; such as project leader, business systems analyst, and developers; build strong working relationships with internal teams
·  Understand our SDLC process and organize projects deliverables accordingly, while supporting agile (SCRUM) development methodology
·  Work quickly and efficiently to keep up with the fast pace of the innovation project timelines
·  Maintain and encourage enthusiasm of their team and promote a positive atmosphere, despite what is a somewhat 'negative' process (e.g., looking for or preventing problems)

Qualifications:
·  Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT application QA
·  Experience in developing and executing QA test scripts and tests plans
·  Manual and automated testing required
·  Must be adept at applying software development life cycle concepts and best practices to the QA process
·  Experience using SQL queries to view data to verify test results and ensure that appropriate data conditions exist
·  Understanding of business and functional requirements, use cases and visio diagrams
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Must be highly organized and detail oriented
·  Have the ability to recognize issues (with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and work with appropriate resources to address and resolve issues
·  Strong interpersonal skills, positive, self-motivated. Superior people skills: team-oriented, fast learner and personable
·  Agile experience a plus
