Job Description:
Primaryresponsibilities will include;
- Database Administration (Backup, restore, disaster recovery, point of recovery, data ware house concepts), shell scripting (Kshell), maintaining database servers, troubleshooting and performance tuning for upcoming and existing projects.
- This person should have knowledge on translating business requirements to technical requirements and design new system by working with other senior DBA’s.
- Seeking a strong Database administration skill on Oracle/MYSQL/SYBASE/postgres etc and Strong UNIX/LINUX shell scripting.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years on Database administration, Performance tuning, trouble shooting and shell scripting (ksh).
- Candidate should be able to quickly learn existing environment, troubleshoot problems. Willing to work on other databases like Vertica and Netezza.
