Additional Information: | This is a 3 month to hire opportunity. All work must be completed in Lansing, MI - including when the contractor goes Perm.
Will hire on phone, however if local, but go in for local interview. Our client Corporation is engaged in developing a state-of-the-art Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) solution for the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. The new SACWIS solution will replace a legacy system developed in the year 2000 called the Services Worker Support System (SWSS). The MI SACWIS System will be developed using JAVA and will be supported with Oracle database.
* Contractors will be required to cover their own parking expenses (appx $99/month)
* Contractors will be required to provide their own laptops for this assignment
* Contractors will be required to use their cell phones for work (minimal). This will not be reimbursed |
Daily Work Description | The Application Development Manager leads and mentors the technical development team of 25-30 developers and oversees all technical aspects of the application development including implementing UML designs created by the Design team. This role is responsible for ensuring the adherence of coding standards and the execution of the functional test cases that are developed by the Test team. Responsibilities also include technical resource allocation for the team to ensure that the project proceeds in a timely and cost effective manner. This role is the technical lead on technical issue resolution and technical risk mitigation. The Application Development Manager reports directly to the Application Development Manager. This role also collaborates closely with the Deputy Project Manager and the Business Manager on a day-to-day basis regarding project operations. The nature of this role will also necessitate substantial and frequent contact with the QC. |
